REACHES 58,500 VISITORS IN 2023

Almost 60,000 people visited the Palau Ducal in 2023 and enjoyed some of the activities programmed throughout the year. Compared to 2022, the number of visitors has increased by 15%, reaching pre-pandemic figures. Moreover, the flow of tourists arriving at this historic monument is increasingly balanced over the months, achieving a certain degree of deseasonalisation and sustainability.

The majority of visitors continue to come from the Valencian Community and from Spain, although there has been an increase in tourists from abroad, especially in the low season (autumn and winter).

Guided tours are the most successful activity, followed by audio-guided tours, night tours and dramatized tours.

Among the new actions carried out in 2023, an increase in the number of guided tours programmed in Valencian, and the installation of a QR code with access to written information on each of the rooms available in 6 languages (Valencian, Spanish, English, French, German and Italian) stand out. In addition, the 1st cycle of Conferences on the Borgia’s Heritage Legacy was programmed and guided visits were made to the Church of the Sacred Heart and the Chapel of Communion. These activities will also be carried out in 2024.

The gastronomic activities (Tasting of the Duchess and The Borgian Dinner) are consolidated as part of the special summer programme, as is the family activity “Where is the key to the Palau?

For 2024 we have programmed these and other new activities. We’ll be telling you about them very soon, so stay tuned!
